GARAGE MAKE-OVER: WHAT WE DID

You can have a functional, attractive garage in just a few steps. The garage pictured below was usable, but junk was wasting space and dingy paint made it appear small and dark. 

• Cleared the junk, such as paint, old spa chemicals and wood.  All were left by previous owner. Paint and chemicals were taken to hazardous waste drop off. Any usable items were donated.
• Painted garage with lighter paint color for a cleaner and brighter look
• Installed tool hanging strips
• Installed hooks for large items such as shovels, rakes and ladders
• Cleared out the built-in cabinet and installed half-shelves
• Hung cabinet over washer
• Put freestanding cabinet in available space beside dryer
